Why WebOS Rocks - Reason #3

Notifications

I have not used an Android personally, but from what I have heard, the notifications are OK. They stink on the iPhone. Notifications are supposed to subtly let the user know that they have received an email, message or an application needs their attention. On WebOS, there is a notification bar at the bottom of the screen.

When you click on the notification, the notifications expand into a stacked list (see the above image). The notifications can be dismissed either by swiping them individually, or by touching the application on the top half of the screen. If you click on say the chat notification, the chat window is opened to the point in the conversation when the last message was sent. Clicking on an email notification opens up the email that prompted the notification.

WebOS notifications rock.
